RESEARCH PHASE

Having as much background information as possible makes the difference in time and money. I dive into the client's analytics/metrics if available. I'll conduct a competitive analysis highlighting their strengths and weakness as well as their competition. Studying the market landscape, best practices, architecture, visuals and the over all feeling the site, web app or tool generates.

This is the core of information that enables the Information Architect and User Experience Designer to lay the groundwork of strategy for the remaining phases. Ideally this is vital for success for any client.



My core competency for this phase have been as a Researcher, Business Analyst and Strategist.
